Craig Allott
Musical Director, guitarist and backing vocalist for Pipin’ Hot 2003

Craig started his music career off at the age of 10 with drumming. He was a percussionist with the H & H Cougars Brass Band and played at the 1988 Expo with them. He has a diploma in music from the SIT music course and achieved Grade 6 in percussion.

Craig was named Southland Guitarist of the Year in 1999 and Southland Entertainer of the Year in 2001. As well as playing guitar and drums Craig plays bass guitar, keyboards, tuned percussion and electric guitar. He has played in various bands including

D.T.’s and The Lone Rangers and is currently in Thunderbirds. He is musical director of the Southland Musician Clubs theatrette and this year is enjoying his involvement as one of the musical directors of Pipin’ Hot.
