Pipin' Hot

By Hamish McNeilly

The City of Invercargill Caledonian Pipe Band has been Pipin Hot for the past 10 years.
In 1996 the band introduced Pipin Hot, fusing their love of Celtic music with a contemporary rock backing and special effects.
Pipe Corporal Kerryn Johnstone said this year's performance will feature a mixture of all the last shows.

"It is more or less a best of."

This year's event will feature local singers Shannon Cooper-Garland and Simon Green.

"We are welcoming them back because they have done shows with us before," Miss Johnstone said.

Pipin Hot will be held at the Invercargill Civic Theatre on August 4 to 6, with tickets available from the Invercargill City Council booking office.
